Will it be advisable to go for CFA?

I have done my MBA finance but I am not in a very good job and salary right now. Just completed 1 yr in job and this is my first one. I am considering an additional qualification and through consultation with my friends and peers, I am of the view that CFA would be apt for my case. I do not have issues with the tenure, fees and difficulty level of this program as I am confident that I will get through this with my hard work. But my only concern is whether it will benefit me a lot. My current job profile is not core finance, it is forensic investigation research and I am an yst who has to make reports. I am not into number crunching and core financial services. Will I be able to get a break in financial arena after completion/during this programme? I do not want to lose out just because i do not have relevant experience, as they call it...also currently it is very hard to find a different job profile. It is also not very safe to switch job in these market conditions so I plan to stick to this job for a year atleast. Please advice.
