No, you are not a terrible person. Sadly, in todays world, things like that are things that should be kept within the family because now if you give a child a few swats on the its automatically child abuse no matter what. As long as it is not over done and is only done for a good reason then its not my place or business to judge. So no you are not a terrible person.
