My dogs bruise is getting bigger...Help!!!?

My little maltipoo fell off the couch (not to far from the floor). Her left side was bruised up and it felt squishy (like water). We took her to the vet that same day and they gave her medicine, the medicine made a knot on her side its hard and almost as big as a tennis ball. What should i do?
