What cause swamp cooler motor to jump when starting up?

I have a Brisa Swamp Cooler. Recently the swamp cooler has been making banging sounds when it starts up. I took the covers off and discovered that the motor is jumping when it starts up. The belt is in good shape. Also, I tighten up all bolts. I see no other way to stabilize the motor.
